2D Digital Art

Many people don't realize that digital art doesn't just relate to the realm of 3D. 2D has been around and digital for much longer!

Archiform 3D creates 2D artwork digitally too, in fact we don't do anything without the use of computers. We don't own pencils, brushes or paint anymore. Even our artwork that looks like it was done by hand is all done on a computer and boils down to some digital formula of ones and zeros.

Flash and Web based art

Our wed sites are normally rich with flash presentation and artwork. This form of digital art combines pictures and "vector" artwork. Vector based artwork are geometric shapes, lines and polygons that may have fills and/or special effects added to them.

DVD interfaces

DVDs, a relatively new media form, allows us to create interactive and attractive interfaces for navigation. Once again, the artwork is 2D but also has motion. While not capable of everything that Flash can perform it has superior playback quality.

Everything video at Archiform 3D is digital, in fact we never did it any other way. The titling, effects and transitions is where we can get creative.

Artists have changed their pens and brushes to keyboards and mice, with most art now created on a screen rather than drawing boards. This digital workflow allows many kinds of media to be merged, altered and displayed. The new forms of presentation devices now can also display digital media quickly and with superb quality.

We took steps into the digital media field early in it’s development. Rolls of film, VHS and Beta videotape, brushes and paint were retired almost simultaneously to adopt a purely digital production line. Today we still set precedents in technique, production time and quality and much of this is attributed to our purely digital 3D workflow.
